Happy 4th of July!

To all of you reading this and to all of your friends and family,

I would like to say thanks for being here.  Although it’s a time of celebration with hot dogs, parties, swimming pools and fireworks, it’s also a time for gratitude.  A time to be thankful for the people in our lives now and from our past that have fought so hard and sacrificed to keep us safe and free.  It’s a time to appreciate those that were here before us… and to hope that our privileged way of life will continue far beyond us.

I cannot take credit for the time and space I was born.  I can only take credit for the mark that I will try to leave on those around me and hope that I am a good example of a kind and appreciative human being.  None of us can change what happens around us.  We only control how we react.  Most importantly,  we all have the ability to make someone’s day brighter.  #lifegoal

So, today I hope you all share some smiles with those around you.
