It’s National Dental Hygiene Month so let’s celebrate!

I am a a proud member of the American Dental Hygienist’s Association and I would first like to thank them for fighting to help our profession continue to grow and evolve.  As health care providers that understand the oral-systemic link, hygienists like myself are on a mission to guide our patients toward  living healthier lives through education, prevention and treatment.

Throughout the month, I will be posting  lots of advice about proper dental care through my Facebook page CharlotteSmiled.   Make sure to join us there to take part in the conversation and find out how mall changes in your daily habits can make a huge impact on the health of your mouth and body. This year, we are talking about 4 healthy dental habits: brushing, flossing, rinsing, and chewing.  Stay Tuned!

To kick off National Dental Hygiene Month, I would like to also share this incredible video presented by Sunstar Global that does a fantastic job of explaining how bacteria and infections in the mouth can lead to debilitating medical conditions.

As always, I am here to help answer your dental and dental hygiene questions so feel free to leave comments below should you need me!
